easylist 过滤规则一开始是设计给 Adblock 用的，现在主要有四个维护者 Fanboy、MonztA、Famlam、Khrin，还有很多社区贡献者。easylist 表示这些规则适用于 Adblock Plus、AdBlock、uBlock Origin。

easylist 的过滤器分为以下几类：

• EasyList：主要过滤器，removes most adverts from international webpages
• EasyPrivacy：作为一个补充，completely removes all forms of tracking from the internet，including web bugs, tracking scripts and information collector
• EasyList Cookie List：屏蔽 cookies banners 等
• Fanboy's Social Blocking List：removes Social Media content on web pages such as the Facebook like button and other widgets.
• Fanboy's Annoyance List：包含了 EasyList Cookie List、Fanboy's Social Blocking List，可以明显提升网站提升速度，blocks Social Media content, in-page pop-ups and other annoyances. Fanboy 提供了可以被屏蔽的内容截图。

其他 easylist 过滤规则可能是以上规则的补充或变体，或根据某些要求制定的：

• 针对不同国家或地区的过滤器，例如 EasyList China，由 John、Li 两位作者维护，removes adverts on Chinese language websites.
• EasyPrivacy Tracking Protection List：IE9 内置
• 等等

EasyList 里面有很多 Fanboy 开头的规则，这是因为以前 Fanboy 过滤规则是独立的，Fanboy list 甚至有自己的官网。2013 年 5 月合并了，然后 EasyPrivacy、Fanboy's Tracking List 这两个规则合并了，名称沿用 EasyPrivacy。大概也是那段时间，Fanboy's Social Blocking List 从 Fanboy's Annoyance List 分离出来独立作为一个新的 list。
